Via Lindau, the Pfändertunnel, exit: Dornbirn Nord and Bregenzerwald (B 200) to Mellau, about 40 km.
Via Kempten-Immenstadt-Oberstaufen-Ach-Lingenau-Egg-Mellau, about 50 km. Via Füssen - Reutte/Tirol - Lechtal - Warth - Schröcken - Au - Mellau, about 85 km. You need a vignette for the motorway in Austria. You can buy it at the petrol stations as well as at the ÖAMTC/ARBÖ.

Fast train station Dornbirn, from there good bus connections to Mellau. Trains to Dornbirn from Holland, Kiel, Hamburg, Dortmund, Köln, Frankfurt. Pick up by a taxi from Dornbirn if desired.
