The village was founded by Prince Esterházy some 350 years ago, the castle at the village entrance dates back to that time.

Because of its location at the border, the people of Neudörfl have always been open-minded. It´s no surprise the place is one of Burgenland´s most modern villages.

The excellent infrastructure of the village is a good example. A modern tennis center, a bathing lake, modern sports halls, and excellent traffic connections are but a few examples.

Wine growing is important in Neudörfl. All year through numerous wine taverns take care that you won´t go hungry or thirsty. The host welcomes the guests personally.

Neudörfl is an ideal place for exploring the eastern parts of Austria. Vienna, the Neusiedlersee lake, the Bavarian Alps with the Schneeberg and Rax mountains, the Lutzmannsburg thermal spa,
the Bad Sauerbrunn health resort, the Hungarian Ödenburg (Sopron) shopping paradise - all of that is within 60km and can be easily reached on dual carriageways.
