A hearty welcome to Purbach am Neusiedler See!
The wine growing and tourist village Purbach am Neusiedler See is located at the western shores of the Neusiedler See lake, between the sunny hills of the Leithagebirge mountain range and the lake.
The Purbacher Türke stone monument dates back to 1532. It is the village´s landmark and prove of an eventful past. The well-preserved fortress walls with three Turkish gates that were built between 1630-1634 are also worth a visit. In the historic Kellergasse pathway, that was built around 1850, numerous wine cellars are to be found. They are ideal for taking a break and for staying. Enjoy a good glass of Purbacher wine and have a chat with with the wine experts, the wine-growers themselves. Purbach, that is located in the cherry blossom region, is made for gourmets.
