The Ulmerfeld castle- the event center of the Mostviertel
Several years ago totally renovated, the Ulmerfeld castle offers performances of every kind in an exquisite scenery. Art exhibitions, seminars, birthday celebrations, concerts as well as wedding are taking place here. Further a historical collection of weapons and community museum are housed, which are of course worth visiting.
Musical Summer in Amstetten
Annually, during the months of July and August musical performances are taking place at the Johann-Pölzl hall. Those, partly first Austrian performances guarantee with its international stars such as Andreas Bieber, Paul Kribbe, Sandra Pires oder Nina Proll - and wicked dancing parts a unique atmosphere, soldout shows and sensational successes. These productions are being taken over more and more often by great theatres. The success speaks for itself!
Nature-Adventure-Path
"Nature pure" one can enjoy along the 6 km lasting roundtrip hiking track, which starts in the city center. In an area of approx. 25ha wood, various topics about nature are being dealt with at 18 different stations. If our feddered friends are not flown away, one can experience a speciality with "Pieps-Show". The nature-adventure-path is also equipped with rests, fitness stops and starting from 2001 with a KNEIPP station and jogging enthusiasts will find distance boards. It is offering therefore something for everybody!
