Bischofshofen is the largest village in the Pongau region and has always been a transport hub and economic center situated in the heart of a unique Alpine scenery.

Bischofshofen is embedded in a broad valley, at an altitude of 550m above sea level. The surrounding mountains are Tennengebirge (2,400m) in the north, Buchberg and Hochgruendeck (1,827m) in the east, Hochkeil in the west and Salzachtal valley and Hochkoenig (2,941m) in the south.

Enjoy fresh summer air while exploring the surroundings on beautiful paths. In Bischofshofen, you can discover the lure of a farm holiday!
In winter, cross-country skiers will find many trails in the vicinity of Bischofshofen. Skiers will find everything their heart could possibly desire on many slopes of the surrounding mountains.
