Königsdorf is a village that is typical for the province of Burgenland. It is some 10km south-east of Fürstenfeld and some 5km from the Loipersdorf thermal spa, and is located in the plain of the Lower Lafnitztal valley where the foothills of the Alps meet the Hungarian lowlands.

The climate east of the Alps is warm and dry. A varied landscape of meadows, fields, and wood-covered hills offers plenty of leisure and recreation possibilities for all ages.
Hikers, bikers, riders, fishers, and tennis players will love it.

For golf lovers a 18-hole golf course is just next to the village. Numerous three-sided and square farm houses are found on both sides of the village green. Most of them have been completely preserved.
Southern Burgendland´s first guesthouse brewery is in Königsdorf.
Wine lovers can relax in wine taverns and can taste the typical Uhudler wine.
´The parish church and a crafts exhibition are both worth a visit.
In the Lafnitzauen pastures a varied fauna and flora can be found.
