Loretto, a famous pilgrimage place, is located in a fertile plain at the foothills of the Leithagebirge mountain range. The towers of the impressive basilica can be seen from far.

The pilgrimage church is at the edge of a wooded park with resting benches. It is Middle Europe´s largest natural village green. Annually some 200,000 pilgrims from near and far visit the church.
