The beautiful village is located in the Rosalia region at the foothills of the Marzer Kogel hill. The town hall dates back to 1755, and the St. Mariä parish church was first chartered in the 11th century. The geologist Eduard Suess, that built the Viennese pipeline, lived in Marz. His house has been completely preserved and the rooms have been left unchanged. He is buried in the parish cemetery. Leisure facilities: sauna, solarium, gym, 3 tennis courts, 3 indoor tennis courts, squash, bowling alleys, hiking and cycling trails, riding facilities, riding school, fungi hunting. Guesthouses and wine taverns look after your physical needs. Agricultural produce can be bought directly at farm. Highlights are the Robischkirtag festival on Trinity Sunday and the New Year Concert on January 6.
