Burgau
Amidst the Styrian spa area is a very special village: BURGAU
Burgau was chartered for the first time in 1367. The gentlemen von Puchheim used to be the liege lords of Burgau. Surrounded by ditches, the castle served as a place of refuge for the population and later it was converted into a residential building. The last private owner was Ludwig Graf Batthyani - today the castle is owned by the Burgau municipality.
