Kapfenberg earned a reputation with its professional training camps and international sports events.

The sports center of Kapfenberg is unique covers all facilities under one roof - grass courts, running tracks, fitness room and all athletics facilities.
Right next to it are indoor and outdoor swimming pools featuring a new sauna world.
The Alpenstadion stadium is not only a famous venue for football matches and athletics competitions, but also starting point of a 6 km natural running trail through the meadow forest and a 50 km long mountain bike trail around Kapfenberg.
