Nordic Walking in Mühlen am Zirbitzkogel
Mühlen got its name because of the countless mills that were in use up to the 50s. Today it is known for numerous activities in the areas of environmental protection. Unspoilt nature, high quality of life, and the excellent recreational value make it an ideal place for spending your family holidays.
Large parts of the municipality´s grounds are part of a nature reserve and bird sanctuary, which are ideal for hiking. The Hörfeld resting place combines bog and reed landscape with the area´s flora and fauna. In the fully functioning "Alten Mühle" mill you can watch the grinding of corn into flour. Experience daily farm life on the numerous children-friendly farms of the area. Many societies and cultural organisations ensure an extensive program all year through.
