The typical village of the Bregenzerwald woods lies on sunny hills and terraces in the valley of Egg and Andelsbuch,high above the river Bregenzerach.
With its skiing area on the Bödele mountain (1148m) and the Hochälpele mountain (1467m) it is a popular ski resort.
