Achenkirch is delightfully situated at the foot of Rofan mountains and the shores of lake Achensee. Thanks to the friendly ambiance, the diverse range of sports including hiking and cycling can be pursued. Achenkirch is near the Karwendel nature reserve, which with its 730 qkm is Europes largest nature reserve.
Achenkirch is a hiker´s paradise.West of the Achensee lake, at the edge of the village of Achenkirch, starts the Karwendel Alpine Park, Europe´s largest closed nature reserve.
