The Small Town at the Big Lake!

The pier of the Achensee steamboat is located right next to the Achensee rack and pinnion train station in Seespitz/Maurach.

Boats have been cruising the Achensee lake since 1887. Since then, not much has changed, apart from the fact that the boats have become a little bit more modern.

The clear lake water is the reason why so many families love the beaches of the Achensee lake. Even the kids may splash around freely, because on the Buchau beach the water is very shallow and warm.
