The highest mountain of Tirol, Wildspitze, is located in the Ötztal Alps.

There are 250 3,000 m mountains in the Ötztal alps, 60 of which are more than 3,400 m high. It is the highest density of mountains of such heights in the Alps. We also have the highest numeber of glaciers (86) in the Eastern Alps.
