Schloß Amberg

Built in 1502 by the governor of Feldkirch and a beloved place of Cesar Maximilian. In 1535 it was given to it´s illegitimate son "Oberst Friedrich Max". From 1600 to 1686 this property belonged to the family "Furtenbach" in Feldkirch. Behind the castle probably used to be the "Altenburg", which is a castle area of the old Lords of Bregenz. The castle "Amberg" is private property.
