The town hall used to be a round wooden building erected on 6 high pillars, boasting large shutters on the four sides. It was accessible via a ladder and a trapdoor cut in the floor. The ladder was removed and only put back after the councils had reached an agreement. The town hall was torn down in 1807. On Aug 20, 1871, the so-called Bezugg-Sul (Bezugg pillar - Andelsbuch´s landmark) was erected as a memorial of the old town hall.
