Burg Freundsberg

The Freundsberg Castle, an ancient knight´s castle dating back to the 11th century, is set on a hill above Schwaz is. Next to it you´ll find a small church, which was built in the former living section of the castle in the 17th century. The castle itself houses the city museum of Schwaz. There is a small tavern which is open throughout the year (except Thursdays).
Tickets (museum): ATS 30
Opening hours: Fri-Wed 10:00am - 5:00pm; from Mar 31 - Sep 15
