Einsiedlerkapelle
The chapel was mentionned for the first time in 1696, and is situated within
three quaters of an hour of the market, at the foot of the Niederkaiser mountain range. In the 18th century, some hermits took care of it. The miracle-working image is a copy of the Ré madonna (near Como), also known as Mariablut (the blood of the Virgin Mary). Within a 20 minutes´ walk you´ll find another chapel called Gmailkapelle with a wooden sculpture of the Virgin Mary, dating back to the 18th century. Open all year.
