Lake Constance is Europe's third largest lake. With its wide range of recreational opportunities, it attracts a myriad of tourists every year.

With an extension of 535 sqm in total, Lake Constance is the third largest lake of Europe. Lake Constance is located where the three countries Austria, Germany and Switzerland meet. The smallest part of the lake belongs to the Austrian province of Vorarlberg where a series of attractive recreational facilities around the lake attract a great number of visitors every year.

With a water temperature of up to 26°C, Lake Constance is a nice place to swim and relax in summer. On the shores of the lake you can find a series of beaches with different recreational facilities, such as tennis courts etc. Some charming natural swimming areas also invite to swim and bathe in the sun.

The entire Lake Constance region constitutes a popular holiday destination as it has a lot to offer, to both sports enthusiasts and culture lovers. Water sport aficionados can choose from a wide selection of offers: sailing, surfing, paddling, motorboating, waterskiing, diving and much more. Boat rental companies also offer the opportunity to rent a sailing boat or motor boat for an exciting trip. Novices can indulge their new passion in one of the local sailing, diving or surfing schools.
