Hotel Kitzhof in Kitzbühel
Our recommendations

A mere five-minute walk separates the Hotel Kitzhof from Kitzbuehel’s fashionable town centre. But there is a world of difference between the hustle and bustle of the chic ski resort and the peace and quiet of this 4-star hotel with its modern Alpine ambience.

“Stag’s antlers meets design”: this is the unusual motto of the Kitzhof. And this means that while guests can bask in the typical Alpine “Gemuetlichkeit of the hotel’s 163 rooms and suites, this traditional look has been freshened up and interpreted in a contemporary manner. The great amount of natural daylight that floods the interior plays an important role in this regard, as does the crackling fire in the lounge’s open fireplace, the loden-covered walls, the untreated larch flooring, and the many black-and-white photographs of mountain scenes adorning the walls on all of the building’s levels. In keeping with this concept is the stylishly reduced wellness area, with an indoor pool, a sauna world, and a spa that uses only products of the German natural-cosmetics label “Just Pure”.

For your dining pleasure, the Kitzhof offers no fewer than three restaurants, as well as a wine bar with a wine cellar that is open to guests. And to help one forget all those calories one has consumed, the Kitzhof also has a fitness center, and Nordic Walking sticks can be borrowed for free at the reception desk – which is perfect, as the hotel lies directly on the running path that goes to Schwarzsee. If you prefer more strenuous sports, the surrounding area offers golf, mountain biking, and swimming in the summer as well as all types of winter sports during the cold season. One final tip: be sure to check the many special offers listed on the hotel’s website – they range from the pre-Christmas “Advent Package” and “Engagement Specials” to “Luxury Spa Days”.
