The restaurant itself is simply breathtakingly, cozily beautiful, located on a “sun terrace” hillside site above Innsbruck and building upon traditions of hospitality which go back for centuries. In the 16th century, this “resting place” was already a popular stopover on the trade route to the south.
Today, the house is run in true, hands-on Tyrolean fashion, supplemented by a smart, small country hotel, and is one of Tirol’s top addresses. Regulars, celebrities and travellers treasure the down-home quality of the traditional Tyrolean dishes from wine soup to calf’s liver, in which many products from the restaurant’s own farm are used.

If you try to imagine the ideal, typical, country inn in the ideal site, the picture your imagination comes up with is devilishly close to the actual Gannerhof in Innervillgraten. Everything here is just...picture perfect.
