The Steiereck was the first Austrian restaurant to win four Gault Millau “hats” many years ago – and has kept them ever since.  At the moment this temple to fabulous food is the only four star bastion in Vienna.  Top quality, modern Austrian cooking is created with finesse under the direction of chef Heinz Reitbauer in this extremely elegant restaurant.  You can enjoy a lighter (and less pricey) meal in the Meierei restaurant next door.  In this airy, modern setting you can taste 120 varieties of cheese from all around the world, hot Viennese pastry confections, fresh strudel baked fresh every hour, classic Viennese dishes and even 4-course menus from the Steiereck’s kitchen.
