Seefeld Olympiaregion
The charming village of Seefeld is situated in the largest nature reserve in Austria at an
altitude of 1200m. Seefeld is a winter paradise for
skiers and above all
cross-country skiers: In 1964 and 1976 Seefeld was the host for the Nordic events of the Winter Olympic Games. In 1985 the Nordic Skiing World Championships were held here and in 1999 the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup. You will therefore be skiing on trails where the ski greats battled for every hundredth of a second!

Silvretta Ski and Fun Sports Arena, Ischgl
The Silvretta Ski and Fun Sports Arena has established itself as
a mecca for skiers and snowboarders alike. With the skiing areas in
Ischgl and
Samnaun (Swiss customs territory) linked up, a region has emerged in which winter sports pleasures are almost literally unlimited. The main skiing area lies at
altitudes between 2,000 and 2,872 metres, so that skiing is possible on the northern slopes from
late November right through until early May. Ischgl is a veritable metropolis of
apres ski enjoyment, renowned especially for its
end-of-season celebrations. The concerts on the Idalpe, 2,300 metres above sea level, have starred performers like
Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Jon Bon Jovi, and this year
Kylie Minogue was the main act on the Idalpe.

Ötztal Arena starts at
1,400 metres above sea level and goes right up to
3,249 metres. The
“Golden Gate to the Glacier”, the ski link to the region’s glacier skiing area, opens up nearly 150km of ski pistes, with a panorama of
3,000-metre peaks as a backdrop wherever you look. The FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup and the FIS Snowboard World Cup - being the first of a great number of glacier events and highlights - celebrate the season's opening in mid October.
