Pixel Hotel

The most unusual hotel in Linz: rooms are located all over the city and can be found in former workshops, shops and even on a barge.

Rooms and suites at the Pixel Hotel offer every comfort, but also a large measure of originality.  As part of an architectural and urban development project for Linz as 2009 European Capital of Culture, intriguing but unused spaces all over the city have been converted into hotel lodgings.  Some are in the suburbs, some in the city centre and others in industrial zones and worker’s neighbourhoods.  For every part of the city has a tale to tell and guests staying in the Pixel Hotel can experience it all for themselves.  You might be spending the night in an art gallery, on all old barge in the harbour or in a workshop in a quiet courtyard.  Breakfast (included in the price) is provided in nearby coffee houses – so Linz’s restaurants serve as the hotel’s dining room and the local pubs make a lively substitute for a hotel bar.
