The Gasthaus Haberl
One of our Terrific Tips

Once the famous chef of the well-established Hotel Sacher in Vienna, Hans Peter Fink has taken over the traditional rural inn of his in-laws and was awarded with two "Gault Millau" hats right away.

Ilz

Since 2008 the award winning chef Hans Peter Haberl has been cooking again in his home region of Styria. At Restaurant Haberl located in Walkersdorf near Ilz he proves side by side with his wife Bettina that Austrian high cuisine and rural inn atmosphere go together perfectly. On the menu you will find delicious specialties like calf’s lights in Riesling wine with curd cheese dumplings, as well as pink roasted saddle of lamb with braised sweet pepper polenta, green beans and Lardo. At the elegant and comfortable inn, home-made specialties of the brand “Fink’s” can be purchased. These high quality products made in Styria (pumpkin pesto, porcino in apple vinegar, pickled wild apples) are also available in selected fine food stores all over the country.
