Contemporary architecture in the heart of the premises from the renaissance era. Right in the center of the wine growing village Neusiedl am See, one of the most impressive wine cellars of Austria has been created.
Almost one third of Austrian wine grows in the county of
Burgenland. Mineral rich white wines and sweet wines stem from the
Lake Neusiedl area, and the two main Austrian red wines “Blaufränkisch” and “Zweigelt” originate in the middle and southern part of Burgenland. Since the traditional way of wine growing was refined by a new generation of vintners,
internationally recognised high quality wines from Burgenland have arisen. Parallel to this, the young wine-growers have discovered the impact of contemporary architecture on their business. Numerous impressive buildings give high quality wines a modern appearance, and the Weinwerk Burgenland at Neusiedl am See is just one of the
architectural highlights in Burgenland. More than
400 wines produced by 140 Burgenland wine-growers are offered – from a variety of internationally celebrated wines to promising ones by young wine-growers. The wine cellar complements a small tasting cellar “Heuriger”, a “Greislerei” where gastronomic specialties can be explored, and the cultural society IMPULSE.
