The Hotel

Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a family-owned luxury hotel which combines timeless elegance and tradition with the highest standard of service and modern conveniences. All rooms and suites are furnished in a highly individual fashion and offer state-of-the-art facilities. They have been personally decorated by the Gürtler & Winkler families, with great attention to detail. Furnishings include original paintings, precious carpets, and silk wallpaper. The unchallenged social hub of the famous summer music festival - the Salzburger Festspiele - the hotel has welcomed leaders and luminaries from Sir Karl Popper to Placido Domingo.

The Experience

The view of the old quarter’s skyline and Hohensalzburg Fortress is truly unique. But the hotel is also well known for the fact that the Café Sacher Salzburg serves the most famous chocolate cake - the Original Sacher Torte - in a typical Austrian coffee house atmosphere with an elegant touch.

Culinary Delights

Dining is popular with locals and guests alike at the Hotel Sacher Salzburg. An outstanding feature is the views of the old town and the banks of the Salzach from every restaurant terrace. The Zirbelzimmer restaurant with its wood panelling and elaborately carved ceilings and the Roter Salon restaurant provide unparalleled fine dining experiences, where award-winning chef Manfred Stüfler offers authentic Austrian cuisine. Furthermore, the Sacher Bar serves a wide range of drinks accompanied daily by live piano music.
