Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic style of Hatha Yoga. It is authentic, unique and effective. The poses are executed in a specific sequence and fluently yet dynamically linked. At the same time special yogic techniques are used, such as special breathing (Ujjayi), energetic blockade (bandhas) and certain viewpoints (Drishtis).
The simultaneous exercise and connecting all of these highly effective yoga techniques requires focused attention, potentiates the effect of each component and creates an energetic current. Every breath initiating a movement, any movement is supported by the breath. The body slides on the respiratory flow of one posture to the next.
Between September and October, Reiters Supremehotel in Burgenland offers Long Yoga Weekends to introduce guests to and perfect the technique of practicing Yoga.
