From 12th - 16th May 2014, national charity Living Streets is staging its annual Walk to Work Week, celebrating all that is great about walking, and encouraging you to take to your feet during National Walking Month. As well as bringing some healthy competition to your workplace and the benefits of walking more as part of your working day, this year Austria’s four supreme walking destinations have partnered up with Living Streets to reward the UK's most ambitious and dedicated walkers, with four fabulous walking holidays in the fresh Austrian air to be won.

Choose your favourite destination and you could win the following to your selected region:

  • 4 nights for 2 people in a 4* hotel in Alpbachtal, Wilder Kaiser, Carinthia or Zillertal (accommodation in Zillertal is the Familienhotel Seetal in Kaltenbach) with half-board and one guided walk

The destinations:

Alpbachtal - inspirational scenery, inspirational hiking
Only 45 minutes from Innsbruck, Alpbachtal feels like a whole world away, with its timbered housing and historic inns. Marked trails lead along sparkling mountain brooks and through woods and pastures with grazing cattle - a scene that has existed here for hundreds of years.

Wilder Kaiser - behold the awesome mountain
Boasting some of Austria’s most dramatic walks, the Wilder Kaiser holiday region gives you the choice of mountain forests and Alpine meadows or gently rolling grass hills and panoramic paths. The Kaiserkrone walk is an unforgettable hike around the same-named mountain range, taking in the kind of views that will stay with you forever.

Carinthia - three countries, one amazing trail
Famous for its mountains, lakes and idyllic pace of life, Carinthia has an unmatched beauty that has to be seen to be believed. For walking, the Alpe-Adria-Trail is truly unique, allowing you to explore three countries (Austria, Slovenia and Italy) on one hike. From the foot of the majestic Grossglockner (Austria's highest mountain) to the Adriatic Sea.

Zillertal - the height of adventure and beauty
With over 1,000km of hiking trails to choose from, the grandly elevated peaks of Zillertal are an inspiring place to walk, with a warm welcome awaiting you at the 4*Familienhotel Seetal. From adventure trails and nature routes on the valley floor, to the buzz of tackling the glacier, there’s something for everyone here.
