In addition to attractive green fee options, the Styria Golf Card gives you the opportunity to experience various facets of Styria with regard to its countryside, culture, and wellness.

Styrians know that the best way to get through life is to escape to the country. Stroke after stroke, new scenic and sporty perspectives open up between Dachstein and the wine country with 23 spacious golf courses. In the north, hilly tracks, imaginative fairways, challenging obstacles and quick greens are lined by massive mountains and dense forests. In the south, vineyards, fortresses, castles and fruit orchards create the scenery for both beginner and expert golfers.

A range of Styrian benefits all in one card
The Styria Golf Card is valid for all 23 Styrian golf courses for either three or five green fees, and is valid on weekdays as well as weekends and holidays (no surcharges). The special benefits of the card are its flexible options. For example, with a “fiver card” play five rounds on 18-hole courses or four rounds on 18-hole courses and two rounds on 9-hole courses. You can also use the “fiver card” for five-day green fees on 9-hole courses. If the Styria Golf Card is not used up completely within one season, it is then valid until the end of the following season.

Both versions of the card with either 3 greens fees (€155) or 5 greens fees (€250) are available as part of packages offered by golf partner hotels or can be purchased at all Styrian golf courses or at www.steiermark.com/golf. By entering a user ID and PIN code, information regarding the current status of your Styrian Golf Card, e.g. the number of remaining greens fees, can be retrieved at any time. Because it is personalised, the golf card can be replaced immediately if lost.

Wellness between rounds
What could be better than totally relaxing after an intense round of golf? In the north, fresh air, salt and mud in the wellness centers and hotels help restore vitality and beauty. Further south, the hot springs of eight thermal spas are ready to refresh and revive you from head to toe.

In addition to the six well-known thermal spa resorts between Bad Waltersdorf and Bad Radkersburg, two more thermal spas in Köflach and Fohnsdorf, situated in the middle of mountains of Upper Styria, now complete the competent Styrian wellness offer. Doctors, sports medicine experts, therapists and fitness, vitality and beauty experts revitalize the body, mind and soul with traditional and Far Eastern methods, active programs and beauty and nutrition tips. A regionally unique aspect concerning beauty is the Traditional Styrian Medicine (TSM) which originates in Bad Waltersdorf. Based on the motto, “Why roam so far when these good things are growing right at your doorstep”, Styrian apples, milk, honey, grape seeds and volcanic soil strengthen the spirit.

Fairways with culture
The Styrian golf experience combines a sporty challenge with cultural impressions. After all, golfers have a wonderful view of the mighty fortresses and impressive castles, churches and monasteries from many of the fairways between the golf courses in Ausseerland and Fürstenfeld-Loipersdorf. As a cultural region, Styria is quite convincing with its imposing buildings, a practically unique dense cluster of museums and an unparalleled calendar of events. Graz, the capital of Styria, UNESCO world cultural heritage and cultural capital of Europe in 2003, is a very impressive city with landmarks from every period of style and avant-garde architecture. Exemplary: the blue bubble of the Kunsthaus and the Acconci island in the Mur. Street shows, music, film and literature festivals, such as La Strada, Diagonale, styriarte and steirischer herbst, enjoy international acclaim. Beyond the city limits, ecclesiastical buildings with a real past and new future attract visitors in Admont, St. Lambrecht and Mariazell. Piber, home of the Lipizzaner horses, Stübing, probably Austria’s most famous open-air museum, the salt mines of the Ausseer Salzwelten, the Skywalk on the Dachstein and the Herberstein Zoo with over 600 kinds of animals invite you to embark on a journey to different worlds, times and continents.
