Culture Hiking Trail Reith

The Culture Hiking Trail through Olympiaregion Seefeld leads from Reith to Leithen and back again. Discover historical monuments and learn about the local history and culture whilst walking through beautiful countryside. The starting point offers excellent views of the 90-year old Karwendel railway which even today is considered to be a masterpiece of engineering. The trail should take about one hour to cover and with an easy difficulty it is suitable for walkers of all levels.

Route: Reith Information Office – Music Pavilion – Sunnroan Trail - The Parish Church – The Milestone - Votive Shrine to Our Lady – St. Magnus Chapel – Hirschen Inn – House of the "Giant" – The Plague Column

Leutasch Spirit Gorge Trail

The 3000m long Leutasch Spirit Gorge Trail has all kinds of mysteries and secrets to tell us. Everyone has heard of ghosts, gremlins and dwarfs and they are said to be at home within unspoilt nature. Right at the back of the Leutasch Gorge, when entering the forest through the gorge gateway, visitors feel a strange and mysterious reality. It is the realm of the Spirit of the Gorge who gets up to all kinds of tricks deep down in his roaring, bubbling castle of bottomless whirlpools and maelstroms, of thundering waterfalls and bizarre rock formations. Follow this exciting path and view the breathtaking home of the Spirit of the Gorge.

Whether scaling the peaks or strolling across pastures, there are countless hiking options in the Olympiaregion Seefeld. A wide range of guided walks are also available for those interested in hiking with a group and in the company of a certified mountain walking guide.
