Natural Bathing Lake Kumberg

Lake Kumberg is situated 16 km northeast of Graz. The average water temperature of 24°C lends for an idylic city escape in summer, with tennis courts, volleyball, minigolf, table tennis, pedal boats, sauna, squash, bowling, adventure playground for kids, slide, tennis camp, restaurant and swimming classes to keep visitors busy the whole day.

Altausseer Lake

53m deep and located at 712m above sea level, Altausseer Lake is in a beautiful and quiet location that is very popular with scuba divers. The water averages at up to 24°C during the summer months and facilities include a beach volleyball field, boat trips to Seewiese-Altaussee and boat rental opportunities.

Lake Putterersee

Lake Putterersee in the Aigen / Ennstal valley is the warmest alpine moor lake in Styria. The moor mud and sulfur in the lake are said to have natural healing powers. The lake is 6m deep and up to 23°C warm in the summer.

Lake Grundlsee

Also known as the “Styrian Sea”, Lake Grundlsee is Styria’s largest lake and has 14km of mostly freely accessible natural beaches, with three specially prepared bathing areas and a section reserved for nudist bathers. Also served by cruise lines, boat rental, sailing and surfing classes, as well as a yacht club.
