Fifteen charming villages and the legendary sports town Kitzbühel make the Kitzbüheler Alpen a cyclist's paradise. Some 800km of cycling and mountain bike trails crown this region the bike centre of the Alps.
Just one of the scenic yet challenging routes through the Kitzbüheler Alpen
Where skiers frolic in winter, bikers have the time of their life in summer. Cycle around the Wilder Kaiser
, bike up the famous Hahnenkamm, pedal through the valley of Brixental and on to St. Johann in Tirol and the Ferienregion Hohe Salve. Whether by city-, e-bike, racing or mountain bike
- there is the perfect bike trail for everyone in the Kitzbüheler Alpen
World's largest e-bike region
With 310 e-bikes to rent and more than 80 rental- and battery exchange stations, the Kitzbüheler Alpen make up the world’s largest e-bike region. What a paradise for electro-cyclists, with 9 popular holiday regions providing an excellent trail network here.
Mountain biking in an "approved bike area"
The Kitzbüheler Alpen boast 55 trails for mountain bikers, totalling more than 800 kilometers. It is because of this and its ideal infrastructure that it is the first region in Austria to be awarded a quality seal as an "approved bike area" for mountain biking. Past green meadows, fragrant woodland, up grassy mountains to old farms - and down again on challenging single trails. All that and much more entices mountain bikers to the natural idyll of the Kitzbüheler Alpen - one of the most beautiful corners of Tirol.
Racing bikers are drawn to the Kitzbüheler Alpen by the ideal (mountain) roads and training courses. You will find excellent racing-bike tours here to suit all ability levels.
