Gourmet Cuisine For The Health-Conscious Connoisseur

The Theresia Gartenhotel takes pride in offering fully organic cuisine at every meal. After all, Salzburg is the region with the largest proportion of organic farming (about 50%) in the entire EU. And even here, in the land of organic pioneers, the Theresia is setting new standards. Currently the only holiday hotel in the province of Salzburg with a 4-5 star rating, it offers dishes throughout the day made of products complying with the strict directives of the EU Organic Regulation. On top of that, the Theresia has been awarded the „Grüne Haube‟ – an Austrian quality seal of culinary excellence based on regional, mainly organic, products. Gault Millau 2008 even selected the Theresia‟s cuisine as one of the ten best gourmet cuisines at Austrian wellness hotels. Furthermore, the Theresia offers gluten free food (coeliac disease) and special dietsfor those with food allergies such as lactose free, low cholesterol and food for diabetics.

A Designer's Dream

At first sight the hotel appears quite traditional. But venture beyond the façade and you will find a different world. The interior is a designer's dream of space, style and modern art. The jewel is the contemporary and modern art collection, and on show throughout the Theresia are pieces by upcoming artists from all over the world, including Andy Warhol and Hermann Nitsch. Guests can embark on their own private tour of the collection with Harald Brettermeier, the owner of the hotel, who is always pleased to explain the masterpieces to interested guests.

The Family Hotel

The year-round Kids Club entertains and cares for youngsters aged two and over during the day and at evening mealtime, while a babysitting service can be organised for little ones under two. Family is very important to owner Mrs. Brettermeier. Guests see and feel this as she shows them the ancestral portrait gallery and shares her family history with those who are curious. The hotel was her grandmother's dream who was able to finally purchase it after years of hard work as a dairy maid. And when Mrs. Brettermeier tells the story of the romance of her grandmother with the farmer Johann Hasenauer who lived just across the river, people understand why the family has a strong bond with this location.

The Sports Hotel

Nestled adjacent to the main gondola in Saalbach Hinterglemm, the Theresia is perfectly placed to experience action-packed adventure on the slopes. The hotel-own ski school, ALPIN-SKISCHULE*****School & Rent, is particularly convenient for families and even has its own rental shop.
