Since 2002 the it has commissioned a number of distinguished contemporary artists to execute installations in outdoor public spaces in Salzburg. Art enthusiats or visitors who simply want to see the city from a different angle can join a “Walk of Modern Art” to visit the collection, which includes works by Anselm Kiefer, Mario Merz, Marina Abramovic, Markus Lüpertz, James Turrell, Stephan Balkenhol and Tony Cragg.  The tour takes two hours and is held on the first Saturday of every month.
