The Spa
There’s plenty of room for romance at the Alpine Luxury Spa, with new private spa suites for two and tailored therapy programmes for couples. The spa area has four indulgently comfortable relaxation rooms, fabulous steam and sauna facilities, and a large indoor and outdoor pool. Spend time in the ‘Fire Mountain’ sauna world, where there is a Turkish bath, and outdoor, herbal, ladies-only and bio saunas. There is also a clinic offering cosmetic surgery on site.

European Excellence Awards
The Alpenresort Schwarz was one of the 2010 finalists of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). The results were announced on 5th October 2010 in Bilbao, Spain. The European Excellence Awards honour outstanding achievement in the profession on an international scale. This nomination is very noteworthy, as the Alpenresort Schwarz was the only European hotel to be recognised. The awards take a comprehensive look at the full spectrum of communications disciplines throughout Europe, and are presented for only the most outstanding accomplishments within this arena.

It was absolutely perfect - in every way - the food was exceptional, simply ‘world-class'; the staff were polite, professional and extremely helpful; the mountainous surroundings were breath-taking and the hotel and spa facilities were beyond anything you could ever wish for in a spa hotel. Everywhere was beautifully clean and tidy, the spa area was restful and calm, with all the amenities you would ever need - a constant supply of clean white towels, fresh water and fruit juices, tea, coffee, tasty soup at lunchtime and fresh fruit always available. The swimming pools were fantastic - clean, beautifully lit, perfect temperature and a joy to swim in. The hotel was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and somewhere you could lose yourself in - quite literally! - but there was always someone to ask and guide you in the right direction. The accommodation was lovely, kept spotlessly clean and tidy on a daily basis and the view from the room was amazing - a constantly changing scene as the weather changed and the sun set.
