Skiing Revival Courses Tirol

There are hardly any winter sports enthusiasts who nail their boards to the wall when taking a time out from skiing, never to be used again. Most skiers head back to the pistes sooner or later, and Tirol's Silberregion Karwendel is a great place to do so.

Many ‘temporary ski ascetics' are concerned about feeling anxious, a feeling which creeps in after years of abstinence. It is precisely for this reason that the ski schools throughout the Silberregion Karwendel have just the thing: affordable courses for those returning to the slopes, with ski instructors who can meet the needs of guests who have recently acquired a taste for skiing again.

The Silberregion Karwendel is proud of its ski areas which are still far removed from the hectic goings-on in the more well-known resorts of Tirol. They remain small and perfectly formed, and are the places where lift tickets are great value, the ski lifts are leisurely-paced, the pistes are wide and clear, and the view to the Karwendel mountains is breathtaking.

The biggest ski area in the region is the Family ski area Kellerjoch near Schwaz. Here, pleasure skiers are treated to pistes which snake their way into the valley on family-friendly ‘blue' pistes, medium difficulty level ‘red' pistes, and difficult ‘black' pistes. Stans and Weerberg have additional facilities. Thanks to modern snow-making facilities, all are completely snow-assured. Those who want to go a bit higher up can take the short journey to the neighbouring Zillertalon the free ski bus where 170 lifts on a total of 640km pistes await.
