Hiking from Alpbach

Surrounded by a diverse and beautiful chain of mountain peaks, ridges and remote side valleys, the scope of walks from the Alpbach Valley is almost limitless. There are walks to the upper reaches of the valley and breathtaking hikes to its higher peaks such as the craggy Gratlspitze, the dome-like Schatzberg and views of the dominating pyramidal Grosser Galtenberg which beckons from the first days of your holiday. In addition, you will be able to explore the heights of the nearby Rofan plateau and Karwendel Mountains, separated by the Achensee, one of the largest and arguably most beautiful bathing lakes in Tirol.

Both local and hired transport together with cable cars and chairlifts, which operate from mid-June, are used to further increase the scope and diversity of the walks.
