Still relatively unknown outside of Austria, the high altitude ski resort of Turracher Höhe delivers on all snowy fronts. Located amidst the Nockberge mountains on the border between the provinces of Carinthia and Styria, the region enjoys a long and snow-assured season due to its lofty location at 1400m - 2205m above sea level. 14 cable cars and lifts serve 38km of wide, top quality slopes to suit all abilities, with short lift queues, convenient ski in / ski out access from almost any accommodation and fabulous cuisine in the mountain lodges, none of which are self-service facilities.
The area is proud of its “holidays amongst friends” image, rooted in the traditional huts that offer a genuinely warm welcome. Highlighting a level of unrivalled hospitality is Turracher Höhe’s unique slope butler service, now in its 14th year of pampering guests with complimentary treats, catering to their needs and offering assistance. Be sure to keep an eye out for the "butler mobile" cruising the slopes!
The fun continues at the highly-rated Snowpark Turracher Höhe, with tricks set across 1.5km and tailor-made setups for beginners, advanced and pro riders. Not to be missed, the nearby Turracher Höhe Funslope is one of the biggest funslopes in the world, and the Nocky Flitzer, a spectacular one-of-a-kind alpine coaster that’ll whizz you a mile down the mountain.
