In 2013,
Schladming-Dachstein will be staging the FIS Ski World Championships. Situated at the heart of
Ski amadé, Austria's biggest skiing complex, this resort isn’t just big - it also offers value for money. One
ski pass opens the door to
270 lifts and 540 miles of slopes for all levels of skier and boarder. Add highly reliable snow conditions (99% of the slopes have snow-making facilities), a comprehensive network of ski rental centres and
snowsport schools, plus
Styrian hospitality, and it’s
no wonder that pulses begin to race.
Schladming’s 4-mountain ski area brings together the slopes of the Hauser Kaibling–Planai–Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, plus a selection of smaller mountains for those who are looking for a laid-back
family winter. Although Schladming is hosting the
FIS Alpine Ski World Championships from
4th – 17th February 2013, the region has promised it will be a ‘Ski Festival with Heart’. 85% of the slopes will remain open to visitors and guests will also be happy to discover that there’s been
major investment throughout the ski area, particularly in its hotels and restaurants.
