Crystal Clear Persuasion: Vineyard Brunch
Perched on the edge of the loess precipice called the Wagram, seemingly suspended in the blue sky is a cool green shimmering glass structure. From the inside, the new regional wine event center called Weritas hovers directly into the surrounding vineyards. Dark walnut, pale creamy leather, and plenty of sunlight comprise a warm and friendly greeting in the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
Enjoy a relaxed Sunday brunch at Weritas in Wagram, Austria.
The structure highlights the unique loess geology which is the foundation for the region’s inimitable wines. The Wagram vintners invite to taste their fragrant wines and pair them with light, contemporary dishes.
On Sundays join the locals for a convivial brunch starting at 11 am. A large, creative buffet is set up with delicious starters, main courses and desserts based on regional ingredients of the season. 35 wines are on offer either as a taste for €1 or by the glass starting at €2.50.
Try a light Asian stir-fry with a glass of the distinctive Roter Veltliner. This rare, indigenous grape variety has a delicate aromas and flavors of hazelnut and oleander. Its crystal clear fruit pairs wonderfully with the dish and seems to highlight the transparent architecture and view of the lush, green landscape.
