Taubenkobel
In 1984 Eveline and Walter Eselböck bought an old farmhouse in Schützen, a delightful spot close to Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, and converted it into a restaurant: the Taubenkobel. Walter Eselböck, who had no classic restaurant training, began to take an interest in cooking, which was a stroke of luck for all gourmets, because by the mid 90s the Taubenkobel had become one of the best restaurants in Austria.
Walter Eselböck has his own uncompromising style, which perfectly combines extraordinary creativity, regional produce and unconventional thinking. The culinary masterpiece that is the Taubenkobel restaurant is complemented by a small and romantic hotel, plus a gourmet food and wine shop. We recommend to make a reservation way ahead of time.
