Tour Villages & Vineyards on Draisines

Take a Draisine Tour and explore Burgenland.

A draisine tour is a unique way to explore central Burgenland’s picturesque landscapes and its culture.
The fun starts when you get to choose your own draisine. Options range from draisines for families, for larger groups, or a birthday draisine with built in sofa, CD-player and space for champagne glasses.
Then start pedaling to propel yourself at a leisurely pace through the wide-open and only slightly hilly countryside. Several villages along the way provide opportunities for refreshments and cultural highlights, such as a wine museum, or the birthplace of famous composer Franz Liszt. Be sure to taste some of the excellent red wines the region is famous for.
The entire ride takes around three hours. But don’t worry if you are looking to pick up the pace — you can overtake. Simply lift the trolley out of the tracks and off you go! Public transportation or a special taxi service takes you back to the starting point after fun-filled ride through the cultural landscape of Burgenland’s “Sonnenland.”
