Vintner Show & Tell at Designer Hotel

Located in the heart of Vienna, this is not just a hotel with a little glass, steel and stone and then a grape seed oil facial mask in your bathroom. This family-operated hotel has dedicated the entire heart and soul of their establishment to wine. Each of the individually designed rooms is sponsored by an Austrian vintner who also stocks the mini bar. Even the delicious breakfast buffet features wine in a non-alcoholic edible form!

Well over 300 different wines covering every Austrian wine region are listed in the hotel’s wine lounge.

The friendly hotel director, Conrad Schöpl, is also the sommelier and will not only help you with your choice from the large by-the-glass assortment in the wine lounge, he will also offer assistance in planning excursions to visit the house vintners in the countryside.

Regular wine-tastings and wine classes are held in the winter garden. Wein & Design is particularly famous for their unique breakfast buffet which is laden with delicious local delicacies prepared by award-winning chef and patron of the house, Klaus Fleischhaker. Wine is also found on the breakfast buffet in the form of wine jellies, wine cheese, and wine cake!
