    Fred Loimer: the biodynamic approach

    Come see a new trend in wine production in action at Fred Loimer's winery in the beautiful Kamptal region of Lower Austria, about 1 1/2 hours away from Vienna. What is it that sets Fred's highly successful wines apart from others? Walking along a path through these ancient Weingärten, may lead you to spy an emerald-scaled Smaragd lizard. This sun-loving vineyard denizen is the mascot for the richest, most intensely flavored wines of the Wachau Valley.
