Trip for two to Austria's Wine Country
No purchase necessary to enter or win.
1. The Austrian Tourist Office, Inc. offers you a chance to win a trip for two to Austria. Prize: One Grand Prize: Roundtrip a 9 day/8 night trip for two including roundtrip economy class air transportation on Austrian Airlines, hotel accommodations in Vienna (3 nights), in Burgenland (2 nights), and in Lower Austria (2 nights); one pair of tickets to the Joseph Haydn concerts at Palais Esterhazy (only if traveling between April and October); voucher for a rental car (economy class) for 5 days; tickets for the Heurigen Express in Vienna, access cards in Burgenland, Vienna & Lower Austria for access to museums, local attractions and some public transportation. Total value of trip is $5000. Hotel stay includes room charge, daily breakfast, and tax. All other meals, expenses and additional travel, including transportation to and from the airport are not included and are the responsibility of the winner. Winner and guest must depart from New York/JFK Airport on Austrian Airlines. Prize must be used as stated herein without exception. Certain travel restrictions and black out periods will apply. Prize is non-transferable and no substitutions of this prize will be permitted. Prize is not redeemable for cash or credit. Payment of taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Employees, officers and representatives and their immediate families of the Austrian Tourist Office, Austrian Airlines, and its subsidiaries are not eligible to enter.
2. How to enter: Sweepstakes begin at 9.00 a.m. New York time on October 25, 2009 and end 5:00 p.m. New York time on November 22, 2009 (“Entry Period”). Persons are eligible to win a trip for two to Austria by submitting the correct answers to the three questions listed on the Austrian Tourism website at http//:www.austria.info. All ballot categories must be completed. Entries must be entered online by no later than the Entry Period. The Austrian Tourist Office is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries. One entry per person. Entrants must be residents of the United States and 18 years or older to win.
3. Winner will be selected on or about 11/22/09 in a random drawing of all eligible entries received. The drawing will be held under the supervision of the Austrian Tourist Office whose decision is final. Odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries received. The winner will be notified on or about 11/22/09 by email and phone. By entering the Sweepstakes you agree to be contacted by the Austrian Tourist Office by the specified method if you are selected as the Winner. Winner must travel within one year (by November 21, 2010) and the trip needs to be booked no later than two months’ prior to travel. If the winner cannot be reached within 24-hours of the drawing, then an alternate entry will be randomly drawn and the original winning entry will be void.
4. Prize winner and traveling companion must each execute a travel liability release in a form to be provided; this release must be returned to the Austrian Tourist Office no later than three weeks of notice of selection. Failure to return the release within this time period will void the prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected.
5. By entering or accepting the prize, the winner and winner’s traveling companion consent to the use of their names and likenesses and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes, as well as the publication of their names in response to winner inquiries, if any, without additional consideration from the Austrian Tourist Office.
6. By participating in the 2009 Austrian Wine Country Trip Giveaway participants agree to be bound by the above rules. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. All federal state and local laws and regulations apply.
7. If for any reason the Sweepstakes cannot be started or completed as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Austrian Tourist Office, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs), and take any other steps it deems appropriate, including cancellation, termination, modification or suspension of the Sweepstakes. The Austrian Tourist Office assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Furthermore, the Austrian Tourist Office assumes no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Austrian Tourist Office on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes.
