Lunz Lake with its crystal clear water and the forests and mountains of the Alpine foothills form the backdrop for a July festival which has committed to the crossover of all style and genres boundaries.
The fact that art and nature can be ideally combined with practical use and enjoyment is proven by the floating stage awarded with an architectural prize. The stands on a steep slope on the northern shore of the lake easily fit into the surrounding nature and form part of the Lunz seaside resort together with the floating stage in the water. For three weeks in July, the moving steel-wood construction transforms into a festival stage at night.
There is something about this tranquil modernity that so harmoniously blends into the surrounding scenery, which accounts for the spirit of the sounds of the waves. Here, professionals meet lay people, international stars and artists from the region. This has helped to anchor the festival in the region in particular. Hip-hop appears on the floating stage as well as American singer/songwriters, jazz bands, solo virtuosos, brass players and local musicians. There are dance performances, break-dancing, workshops and readings. With its crystal clear lake, Lunz is beautiful. And with the noise of the waves it has a small, fine, calmly exciting festival.
