A vacation at the Grossglockner Resort of Kals/Matrei is invariably a superlative mountain holiday. In wintertime, the region boasts more than 110 km of ski runs (East Tirol’s largest ski area) and in summertime National Park Hohe Tauern (Central Europe’s largest national park) invites you to hike and mountain bike on discovery tours.
The newly opened Adler Lounge is enthroned at about 2,500 m altitude, right at the mountain terminal of the brand new cablecar. In whisperingly quiet, comfortable cabins, you float from Kals to the heights in all-glass “alpine dens”.
