Angerer Alm
Our recommendations

In wintertime, you can get here only on skis, and are well advised to spend the night. The reason is simple: the culinary and wine offers on the Angerer Alm can simply not be resisted.

Angerer Alm in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria

St. Johann

This highest-altitude farmhouse of St. Johann is more than 200 years old. Today it is surely the most unusual high-alpine-pasture hut in the province. On the terrace, with its breathtaking views over the valley, you can enjoy Kasspatzln (melted cheese patties) or hearty mountain snackboards, but in the evening you can also savour gourmet menus comprising many courses. a great many products come from the selfsame farmstead. Annemarie Foidl, hostess and sommeliere, not only cooks up a storm, she also has a high quality zone of 450 different wines on tap to go with it.
